Medicare Telehealth Services
If you are in Australia and live in a rural area, or, you are a fly-in-fly-out (FIFO) worker working in a rural region, you are able to access Medicare Telehealth rebates for online psychological Services.
To claim under Medicare for Telehealth psychological therapy, see your GP or other relevant professionals, such as a Psychiatrist, for a referral and a Mental Health Plan.
Check your eligibility on the Doctor Connect website and enter your postcode (or that of your work-place for FIFO workers).
The search will identify the MMM region classifications from MMM1-7. If you are in regions MMM 4-7 you are eligible for online psychological therapy.
Service Rebates
Service fees are payed at the time your appointment is booked. A payment receipt and your appointment detail will be generated instantly and sent to you via email.
A Medicare claimable receipt will be emailed to you following your consultation.
You will receive a rebate of $126.00AUS for up to ten consultations with a Clinical Psychologist in any one calendar year.
